The Creative Resource Center was established on the belief that our New Bedford community possesses all the resources needed to support and enrich our cities early childhood system. We know that when we pool together our materials and talents, we have the power to transform our schools for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We can raise up teachers, support families, and give our children the very best start at life possible.

What We Do:

  • Professional development workshops specifically designed for early childhood professionals

  • Artist workshops that bring new ideas and creativity to teachers through presentations by local artists.

  • Free and affordable materials for classroom learning environments.

  • Education books for teachers to borrow.

  • Library of thoughtfully curated children’s books and learning kits that can be borrowed for free.

  • Space for teachers to play, learn, and rejuvenate.

  • And more...

Start-up funding for this center was generously provided by the “Art is Everywhere” grant through New Bedford Creative. The grant was made possible with funding by MassDevelopment’s Transformative Development Initiative (TDI) and the Barr Foundation.
